Dr. Guy G. Massry |
ABOUT YOUR DOCTOR
| Dr. Massry, a native of Los Angeles, received his
undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of southern
California (USC). An ophthalmic plastic surgeon, he completed his
general ophthalmic specialty training with Board Certification at the
Anheuser Busch Eye Institute in St. Louis, Missouri. He continued
with additional and separate subspecialty fellowship of the forehead,
eyebrows, eyelids and midface at the famed Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat
Hospital in New York City. This institution is on of the most
respected cosmetic surgical training facilities in the United States.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. Massry returned to St. Louis to become Director of the Cosmetic and Reconstructive Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Division at the Anheuser Busch Eye Institute. At the Institute, he attained the rank of Assistant Professor, published many scientific manuscripts, trained numerous physicians and organized and taught a variety of surgical training courses. Dr, Massry is now in full-time private practice. While Dr. Massry is still involved in a variety of research and training activities, the majority of his time is now dedicated to private patient care. Dr. Massry's particular interests are in the cosmetic aspects of his field. He specializes in endoscopic forehead/eyebrow lifts, blepharoplasty (upper and lower lid surgery), midface surgery (procedures involving the cheeks), and laser surgery of the face. He believes cosmetic surgery is a form of art, and that the primary goal is to impart a natural, age-appropriate, and less tired appearance, Dr. Massry also performs a variety of reconstructive surgical procedures involving the eyelids, tearducts and orbits.
