Mark

I've been wearing contacts for 18 years. That is, until this year...... When I first considered corrective eye surgery about 3 years ago, I frankly was just getting tired of the contact lens "routine" every night and every morning. I play a lot of sports, so glasses were hard to make work on a daily basis. Then there was the occasional but persistent "eye headaches".

I made an appointment with Dr. Tony Nesburn, whose reputation in corrective surgery is well-known in Los Angeles. Dr. Nesburn first determined whether or not I was a candidate for surgery. At the time, RK was very common, but the use of the laser was a new option. Well, after determining that I was a good candidate for the laser procedure and then recommending it, Dr. Nesburn told me........believe it or not........to wait! He indicated that in another year or so all the data from the new laser procedure would be available. It is this kind of cautious professionalism that Dr. Nesburn, and the American Eye Institute, represents.

Well, I waited just over 2 years, and I cannot express enough my pleasure with the results of the laser procedure. The actual procedure takes just a few minutes, and there was minimal discomfort afterwards. I did it on a Friday, and was back to work Tuesday (Monday was a holiday).

I CAN WAKE UP AND SEE THE CLOCK!! I CAN GO TO SLEEP WATCHING THE TV!! NO MORE DROPS, CLEANERS, OR SOLUTIONS!!

Frankly, I have been recommending the procedure, and Dr. Nesburn, to anyone who will listen. About six months after the procedure, my vision in both eyes is close to 20/20. But more importantly, I have already forgotten what it was like to wear glasses or contacts, and for that, Dr. Nesburn, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
